Who We Are
Our Story
How It Started
From a weekend market
to something more.
Con Leche grew out of weekend market pop-ups in Pretoria. The founder is a cat person and a coffee person, and wanted a space that felt like neither a chain nor a lecture. Just a good cup, made properly, in a place worth sitting in.
The name is straightforward. Con leche means with milk. It's coffee made the way you like it, not the way someone thinks you should.
The truck came after the markets. The regulars came after the truck. Now it's a Saturday ritual for a lot of people, and we take that seriously.
What we're about
Four things that
matter to us.
The Cat Thing
Our spaces are cat-friendly. Sometimes the cats show up uninvited, and that's fine with us. We work with local shelters and put some of what we earn back into cat welfare in the area.
Community First
Run clubs, painting evenings, market days. These aren't marketing. They're what we actually want to be doing. Coffee is the reason people show up. Community is the reason they come back.
Made Properly
Single-origin beans, decent extraction, baristas who know what they're doing. Pastries baked fresh each morning. If it's not good enough it doesn't go out. Simple as that.
We Come to You
The truck goes where people are. Markets, corporate parks, running trails. Good coffee shouldn't be hard to find. We try to be where you already are.
